Aspen Summer

Summer

Summer in Aspen features culinary and cultural events, outdoor markets, music festivals, and much more! Be sure to experience the annual Food and Wine Festival or Aspen Music Festival – two world class events that keep visitors coming back for more. The lifts and gondola are open during the summer seasons and can be used to access hiking and biking trails. AMH activities are at their best on the mountain and in the valleys here.

Whitewater rafting on the Roaring Fork and Colorado rivers. Fly fishing on the Frying Pan River and countless other gold medal trout waters like the Castle, Maroon and Snowmass Creeks. Great road cycling up to the Maroon Bells and in the adjacent valley to Ashcroft. Old Snowmass offers two nice gentle rides through ranch lands with spectacular views. Countless hikes are available in classic alpine settings and climbing on the 13,000 and 14,000 peaks surrounding Aspen is a Peak Experience.

We recommend using our guide service of AMGA and IFMGA certified guides due to varying rock and weather conditions. Mountain biking is everywhere. Marked trails are available on the ski mountains with lift access on Aspen Mountain and Snowmass as well as the many classic rides out of Aspen and Snowmass. Aspen is home to some of the most beautiful mountain scenery around.

The Maroon Bells are the most photographed peaks in all of North America. Explore the glacial valley while surrounded by 14,000 ft. peaks, fields of wildflowers and Maroon Lake showcases breathtaking mirror images of the Maroon Bells in its waters.
