Evergreen Lodge

 The Evergreen Lodge. Vail (Located between Vail Village and Lionshead on the free town shuttle route. $$$  Shuttle to lift. A long time favorite with skiers from all over the world as it is the only moderate hotel close to the mountain. The Evergreen Lodge is a great value with a convenient location. 25 yards from the free Town of Vail shuttle stop, next to the Vail Library and Dobson Ice Arena. The Lionshead Gondola is one stop away and Vail Village pedestrian mall is two stops ( 5 mins.) away. A full service hotel, great for a Vail ski vacation, it has a lively sports bar, large heated outdoor pool and over sized hotel rooms.
Manor Vail Resort

Manor Vail Resort. Gold Peak, $$$$ Lift across the street. Location, Location, Location! It’s all Right Here! One of the best locations in Vail! How to lodge in a full service resort, an easy 5 minute walk to the center of Vail Village, Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, Gerald Ford Amphitheatre and the Riva Bahn Express lift as well as the Gold Peak base lodge and still be in a quiet location away from the bustle of Bridge Street. Manor Vail is across the street from the children’s and adult ski school, cozy Gold Peak Base Lodge and Riva Bahn Express lift which is the fastest way to the top of Vail Mountain. In summer, The Manor is just across rushing Gore Creek from the Ford Amphitheatre, Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and Ford Park.

Mountain Haus

Mountain Haus. Vail Village. $$$$ Walk to Lift (5 minutes).  A long standing favorite among skiers because of its prime location next to the covered   bridge in the center of Vail village. The Mountain Haus really has everything required to do Vail right. A very deluxe hotel-condominium that in summertime has rushing Gore Creek is next to it and in winter on a powder day you are less than a four minute walk to the VistaBahn high speed lift.

Vail Cascade Resort

Vail Cascade Resort. 2 miles from Vail Village. $$$$ Ski In/ Ski Out. A secluded pocket of luxury, Vail’s ski in/ski out, AAA Four Diamond Resort has been a stand out property in Vail for many years. Built along the banks of the Gore Creek on the western side of Vail Mountain an enclave was created that has ski access in winter, is on the bike path headed to Vail Village and Avon. This location allows you to enjoy the quiet, spectacular alpine elements of a clear rushing stream, towering Englemann Spruce trees and the sunny end of the valley. Recent renovations to guest rooms including all new furnishings, soft goods and decor have brought a contemporary look and feel while retaining a taste of alpine sophistication. Atwater on Gore Creek restaurant was given the same new contemporary feel with  the addition of windows that brought the alpine elements into the room and somehow making the creative American cuisine taste that much better. Enjoy the same flavors from the menu in the spacious Fireside Bar with the large windows looking over Gore Creek and the forest and meadows beyond. The Cascade Village Market and Cafe has your favorite coffee beverages as well as hot breakfast sandwiches, pastries, deli sandwiches, gourmet cheeses and chocolates on a Grab and Go basis. The pool and hot tub overhanging Gore Creek were changed to include heated pool decks and infinity edge elements. A beautiful addition that is a must experience in either winter of summer. The Vail Cascade has long been known for it’s Aria Spa. A 10,000 square foot facility it offers a full menu of treatments including a variety of massage types, facials and body wraps. The staff focuses on the total wellness of the being from treatments to yoga and fitness classes in the 68,000 square foot fitness club to the spa designated menu items in the restaurant. Two indoor tennis courts are available along with an indoor track and basketball court. The resort’s own 4 person Lift 20 will wisk you to the Simba Run with easy access to the EagleBahn Gondola, Born Free Express and Pride Express high speed lifts on Vail Mountain. A fun and scenic skiway, Cascade Way, brings you right back over the Gore Creek and drops you at the doorway to the resort. In summer grab a bike from the sport shop and head for the bike path the follows Gore Creek into Vail Village or down to Avon. Hiking trails are close by and all AMH activities are easily accessed. The Vail Cascade is a great choice for your Colorado ski vacation, your mountain vacation in summer and fall.

Blu’s Restaurant and Bar, a longtime Vail favorite, is also located in the main building featuring reasonably priced continental cuisine and an extensive wine list.
