Winter Park Summer

Winter Park is home to some of the most spectacular riding in the western U.S. With more than 600 miles of trails to choose from, you’re bound to find a trail that suits your experience level. One of the more popular activities is top-to-bottom mountain biking for intermediate to advanced riders. Ride the Zephyr Express chairlift to the summit of Winter Park Mountain in order to access the resort’s 50-mile network of interconnected trails. You can also ride the chairlift to enjoy the spectacular views of the Continental Divide, up to an elevation of 10,700-ft. above sea level. Be sure to check out Colorado’s longest alpine slide which begins with a six-minute chairlift ride. Board a plastic alpine sled equipped with rollers and brakes to begin your 3,000 ft.-long ride and 610 ft. vertical drop to the bottom. Prefer a thrill of a different kind? Test your climbing skills on the 24-ft. Outdoor Climbing Wall. The wall features three different routes with varying degrees of difficulty and has an automatic belay system. Other summer activities and attractions includehiking, backpacking, camping, fishing, horseback riding, rodeo, hot air ballooning, golfing, rafting, boating/sailing, music and art festivals, the Amaze’n Human Maze, Leaps & Bounds Bungee, Rock ‘n Roll Gyro, Mountainside Mini Golf, an 18-hole mountaintop disc golf course, and a variety of restaurants and shops.
