Sun Valley Winter

With 250 days of sunshine a year, Sun Valley offers world-class skiing and snowboarding on one of the country’s largest mountains. It is also a great place to learn how to ski with diverse trails that cater to all levels of experience. The resort boasts two mountains:

Bald Mountain
Considered by serious skiers as the country’s single best ski mountain with 64 runs, 13 lifts take skiers up 3,400 vertical feet to a summit of 9,150 ft. The mountain boasts short lift lines, light and fast snow, tree skiing, and terrain for everyone. Here you can experience glades, bowls, bumps, easy rollers, and a super pipe on the Warm Springs side of the mountain.

Dollar Mountain
The treeless, groomed slopes of Dollar Mountain are ideal for learning to ski and snowboard. With three chairlifts and 13 runs, the mountain combines gentle terrain with more challenging slopes. It also boasts a half-pipe, terrain park and tubing hill.

Other winter activities include: backcountry day tours, hut skiing, dog sledding, fly fishing, heli-skiing, glider rides/scenic flights, ice skating, paragliding, sledding, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing,
