Park City Summer

With Park City located in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains, the nearby Wasatch-Cache National Forest and 90 mountain lakes provide numerous opportunities for backpacking, hiking, camping and fishing during the summer. Explore more than 75 trails covering 400 miles or hop a ride on one of the lifts at any of the ski resorts. Other summertime activities include, mountain biking, hot air ballooning, golfing, sailing, kayaking, river rafting, rock climbing, horseback riding, and more. Kids, check out the alpine slide where you can glide down the slopes or zoom down the half-mile parallel tracks. Park City Mountain Resort recently doubled their number of tracks, while Utah Olympic Park features a European-style “Quicksilver” slide. For even more thrills, experience Park City Mountain Resort’s Ziprider®, an exhilarating 60-second ride that suspends riders 110 feet off the ground at its highest point and reaches speeds up to 45 mph. Or, try Utah Olympic Park’s Xtreme Zipline (the world’s steepest) and fly 50 mph along the length of the 120 meter ski jump.
